After trying to get the texture right for the roof, I decided to just model it since I have no poly limit for this project. I love how it turned out, its not perfect but it's alot better than the textured version.

Also got the door textured. Woot! Oh I also modelled the house number.

Sorry it's taking so long, had a heck of a week or so and was also called in to do some tutoring (yey!). Also just found out I might have hopefully maybe possibly been accepted to start my Masters in Jan (which is a rare opportunity since the course started in September!). Also I'm hoping to enter the ImagiNations competition (run by the Disney Imagineers) in Jan *fingers crossed*. So I'm going to be busy busy, but don't worry I will finish the UP house as I never leave anything unfinished and I have other plans for this house.
Anyway hopefully work on this a bit more and have another update before Christmas.

Thanks for all the support so far! :D

Good job, very impressive! Do you have a turn-around for this model or are you only doing the details on the front?

Oh, by the way, what is the box on the left for?

I'm going to do the whole house because I want a turn around for my showreel, but first I want to get the front textured so I can get a nice render up on dA.

The box is a 1m box, it helps me with sizing (I keep forgetting to hide it when rendering >_< :faint:).

Looks great! You might as well model the bottom walls at least, it would give you a nice break in the silhouette. Have fun! :D

Yeh I think instead of trying to trick everything with the textures I'll model in the detail, its alot more fun this way! :D

You can always transfer the maps to a lower poly mesh ;) Have fun with it! :D

Yeh I was thinking that but I might just leave it as is just for now so I can get the final image sorted and I can remake my showreel. :)

Thankies! ;) :P
